Studies indicate that you can reduce the severity of Covid-19 symptoms if you have adequate levels of vitamin D. it might reduce the impact of COVID-19 in populations where vitamin D deficiency is prevalent; after all there is nothing to lose from their implementation, and potentially a lot to gain.
“Lower circulating 25(OH)D concentrations have also been reported to associate with susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 severity. Vitamin D deficiency might arise as a consequence of pulmonary inflammation.” The Lancet journal *
