Digestion, what a masterpiece and gift from our Creator!
Digestion is crucial for the body, so in order to understand just the basics, let´s take a look at
the route food has to go through in your system. Digestion´s job is to break down the food
gradually into smaller components in order for the body to utilise the nutrients easily.
1. MOUTH
CHEW WELL, the rest is automatic!
Digestion starts in the mouth. Chewing breaks the food into pieces that are more easily
digested, saliva with its enzymes mixes with food to start the process of breaking it down
into a form your body can absorb and readily use as efficiently as possible. Binge eating is not
good for the digestion, so chew your food well. Our only job is to use enough time for chewing
(20–30 times before swallowing the food), the rest of digestion is automatic.
